1:1 Support Worker
required for our Brighton Nursery
£8.50 p/h inclusive of holiday pay
12 hours per week 3 hrs per day Tue-Fri to start asap.
We are actively seeking someone to join our busy nursery in Brighton as a 1:1 support worker. The role will comprise of working 1:1 alongside a boy in our pre-school room with some speech language delays and behaviour difficulties. The applicant will have experience in working with children with special needs and behaviour difficulties and will ideally have some experience/knowledge of MAKATON and other communicative supports.
The applicant will need to work with the individual child to meet care and developmental needs and to support the child throughout their sessions at nursery.
Qualifications are desirable but not essential.

From £15,600 to £17,056 per annum, Nursery practitioner from 40 hours per week (inclusive of breaks) Monday to Friday, shifts between 6.45am and 7pm
We are seeking a qualified Early Years Practitioner
to join our team.
Applicants must have experience of working with children aged 3 months to 5 years; a minimum Level 3 qualification in early years and childcare; excellent organisational skills, excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); good ICT (Information and Communications Technology) skills; excellent communication skills; the ability to work as part of a team; the ability to communicate and share information with colleagues, parents and outside agencies. An understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach is desired but not essential as training will be given. Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training is also desired but not essential.
The role will be to provide high quality care and learning to our children. Duties include being responsible for a group of key children - writing observations, planning next steps and writing termly reports; providing a variety of indoor and outdoor activities; liaising with parents, colleagues and other staff members; using an online system called ‘Interactive Learning Diary’ to document children’s individual progress & to plan appropriate next steps; supporting staff/colleagues with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework implementation; ensuring policies and procedures are followed and modelling practice.
